Introduction

DoseTrace ("we", "our", or "us") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and safeguard your information when you use the DoseTrace mobile application.

Information We Collect

DoseTrace collects the following information that you voluntarily provide:

Account Information: Email address and password when you create an account.

Profile Information: Name, birth month and year, country, weight, height, biological sex, activity level, and health goals that you provide to personalize your experience and to power the app's calculators.

Health Data: Medication and supplement protocols, dosing schedules, dose logs, vial tracking information, biomarker data, vaccination records, and — if you use the optional food log — the meal descriptions you enter and their estimated nutrition values.

How We Use Your Information

We use your information solely to provide and improve the DoseTrace service, including:

Storing your protocols, dose logs, and health tracking data so you can access them across sessions. Sending you push notifications for dose reminders you have configured. Syncing your data across devices when you opt into cloud sync.

Data Storage

DoseTrace uses an offline-first architecture. Your data is primarily stored locally on your device using SQLite. If you create an account, your data is also synced to our cloud servers (powered by Supabase) for backup and multi-device access. Cloud data is encrypted in transit using TLS.

Data Sharing

We do not sell or rent your personal information, and we do not display advertisements. Your health data is never shared with insurance companies, employers, advertisers, or data brokers. We share your data only with the service providers that operate DoseTrace on our behalf — our cloud host, and, only when you choose to use an optional AI scan feature, our AI processor — as described below. These providers act as our processors under contract and handle your data solely to provide the service.

AI-Assisted Data Entry (Optional)

DoseTrace offers optional features that let you scan a document — a lab report, a vaccination record, or a vial label — describe a meal in the food log, or answer the protocol assistant's questions in your own words (such as a compound, a dose and a schedule), so you don't have to type the values into the form by hand. If, and only if, you choose to use one of these features and grant consent when prompted, the image, PDF, meal description, or answer you provide is sent to our AI processor, Anthropic PBC (United States), whose Claude model reads the text and returns the values — for the food log, an estimate of the calories, carbohydrates, and protein; for the protocol assistant, the numbers and words you typed, which the app then uses for its own arithmetic — to your device.

This processing takes place on servers in the United States. Anthropic acts as our data processor for this single task: it processes what you send only to extract or estimate the information you requested, does not use your data to train its models, and retains it only transiently as permitted under our data-processing agreement. The AI reads or estimates what you provide — it never interprets your results, recommends what to eat, suggests a compound, dose or schedule, or offers medical or dietary advice. We never send your data to any AI service without your explicit consent, asked before your first use of an AI feature and again whenever we add a new kind of data, and these features are always optional: you can enter the same information manually instead.

Data Retention

Your data is retained for as long as your account is active. You can delete your account at any time from the app's Settings screen. When you delete your account, we permanently delete your synced data — your protocols, dose logs, vial records, biomarker entries, vaccination records, and food-log entries — together with your authentication credentials from our servers. Data held locally on your device is removed when you delete the app.

Your Rights

You have the right to access, update, or delete your personal data at any time through the app's Settings screen. You can delete your account entirely from within the app, which permanently deletes your account and all associated data — your protocols, dose logs, vial records, biomarker entries, vaccination records, and food-log entries — along with your authentication credentials (see Data Retention). We do not retain your data after deletion.

Children's Privacy

DoseTrace is not intended for use by children under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 18. If we become aware that we have collected data from a child under 18, we will take steps to delete that information.

Security

We implement appropriate technical and organizational security measures to protect your personal information. Authentication tokens are stored securely using device-level secure storage. However, no method of electronic transmission or storage is 100% secure.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy within the app and updating the "Last updated" date.
